1. You've experienced or are experiencing a stressful event

There are a million events that can cause you stress. For one year Google took most of the traffic away from my business website. That caused huge stress for me.

2. The business is struggling, which is causing you to worry

When a business is finding it difficult to manage financially, it can be incredibly stressful. While spending more might not seem like the route out, you likely need to move down a new path and stop following your current unsuccessful patterns.

3. You have too much challenging work to do

We can all only cope with so much that's difficult for us, whether that's intellectually or emotionally demanding. After an amount of time, it can be time to find new ways forward.

4. Your team or customers are unhappy

Some personality types thrive on conflict, whereas other abhor it. If you're in the latter camp, too much can cause you to become extremely overwhelmed.

Here's a potential situation:

Let's presume you've been struggling to cope with your work day for over 3 months now

You're struggling to make it through and had started to leave early and go off sick.

You've tried taking time off, and Yoga, but while it helps in a short term, the issue always returns

You've done your best to improve the situation, but it's not helping.

You're not always sleeping well, and you suspect that's not helping

You're probably right. Our minds do much of their emotional recovery when we're asleep, so a lack of sleep will be making this worse.

You've not really got anyone to talk to, because you think leaders shouldn't show weakness

While you know deep down this isn't true, it's still uncomfortable.

In coaching, we discuss the situation, and find there are certain types of tasks which are very emotional for you

Several tasks, such as hiring and firing, are very difficult for you since hiring causes you worry about the future and firing triggers a huge sense of responsibility.

We discuss solution and decide, short term, to pass them to someone else while we improve your ability to handle them

Handing these over to other people for a while was a huge relief.

Over the next 3 months, we make changes to how you see and react to these

Who am I?​

I'm Phil Drinkwater, a leading transformational coach who supports business clients who are overwhelmed and struggling to cope.

I'm a Certified Business Coach with a totally unique approach helps you to understand cope more effectively with the emotions that your business triggers.

I'll support you through every section of your journey of growth and discovery.

I’ve run my own successful online small business with up to 20 employees for 22 years

I’ve been overwhelmed and I doubt many business owners haven’t. Over time, I’ve managed to find solutions to coping without them taking such a mental tole on me.

I'm also psychology trained

I'm aware that our needs, thoughts and emotions determine whether we succeed or fail, and how we can change these to produce a more success-oriented mindset.

What will happen in our Free Discovery Session?

In our first small business coaching session, I'll ask you about your small business and what challenges you're facing. Over that hour, I'll get a picture for what's going on, and let you know whether and how I can help.

If you're nervous, I'm incredibly kind

Some people are nervous, some aren't. Either way, I'll treat you with respect and, within that hour, you'll become comfortable. However, if you'd prefer a more gentle way to start coaching, we can do that.

How will we continue?

Pricing for one to one coaching services, and discounted packages

Single sessions for business owners and entrepreneurs are £189 - with a 15% discount in your first year of business. Single sessions for executives are £300. Discounted packages are available.

In coaching we'll discuss challenges, resistance and how to design an amazing life and business

We can talk about anything that's useful to you, but we'll focus on what's challenging and why you're resistant to certain paths. We'll also determine how you work best, and how all of this fits into the life you truly want.

We'll meet every 2 to 3 weeks, usually

I suggest we meet every 2 to 3 weeks, depending on schedules. This allows you to take actions so we can evaluate the effectiveness for you.
